The National Union of Agricultural Aviation Companies (Sindag) reports that this year’s Agricultural Aviation Scientific Congress has recorded its highest number of participating papers since it was established in 2019.
Record participation at the Agricultural Aviation Scientific Congress
A total of 25 studies will be presented on the second day of the Brazilian Agricultural Aviation Congress (AvAg Congress), taking place from 18 to 20 August at the Liberty Aeronautical Complex in Goianápolis, Goiás. This week, the AvAg Congress also confirmed the schedule of National Industrial Training Service (Senai) courses to be held during the agricultural aviation gathering.
Registration for AvAg Congress 2026 remains open and is free of charge. Those wishing to attend must complete the form on the event’s official website and provide an access code, which is also free and can be requested from Sindag or any confirmed exhibitor. With just over a month to go before it begins, expectations remain high for an event already regarded as the world’s largest agricultural aviation gathering.
Scientific papers at AvAg Congress 2026
The scientific papers will be delivered orally on 19 August, from 2 pm, in the event auditorium. Included in the AvAg Congress since its first edition, the Scientific Congress has increasingly become a link between the productive sector, companies, universities and research centres. It provides a platform for studies concerning application technology, drones, best practice, innovation and sustainability in agricultural aviation. The record number of submissions further underlines the technical importance of the Goiás edition of the event.
The submitted papers come from eight states and the Federal District, bringing together academia, companies, research centres and public bodies from Santa Catarina, São Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul, Goiás, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro and Brasília.
Participating organisations include the University of Brasília (UnB); the Federal Universities of Goiás (UFG), Uberlândia (UFU), Espírito Santo (Ufes) and Rio Grande do Sul (Ufrgs); the State University of Bahia; the University of Vassouras; and others. Also taking part are the São Paulo State Agricultural Defence Directorate, linked to the Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply; the Agricultural and Forestry Studies and Research Foundation (Fepaf); Schröder Agricultural Consultancy; Aerodinâmica Agricultural Aviation; and other organisations.
Evaluation panel and awards
The papers will be assessed by a panel comprising professors Arthur Gabriel Caldas Lopes, from Goiás; João Paulo Arantes Cunha, from Minas Gerais; and Vitor Carvalho Ribeiro de Araújo, from Paraná. Awards of R$ 5,000 for first place, R$ 3,500 for second place and R$ 2,000 for third place will be presented. An honourable mention will also be awarded through the Special Innovation Prize.
Registration for AvAg Congress 2026 is still open and free. To take part, attendees must complete the registration form on the official event website (congressoavag.org.br). During registration, an access code must be entered; it is free and may be requested from Sindag or any confirmed exhibitor. The exhibitor list and contact details are also available on the event website.
